Adam Bentley BSc (Hons)


Adam is a former and current student of Manchester Metropolitan University.  After earning a BSc honours degree in Exercise and Sport Science, he is currently working towards a masters degree in Exercise and Sport physiology. Adam comes from a strong sporting background, where he has competed in both athletics and rugby union. His motivation and enthusiasm to succeed and develop as an athlete himself lead to his passion and enthusiasm in optimising athletic development, which he has been involved in for the last 5 years. Adam has and continues to spend considerable time in modifying and perfecting his ideologies, coaching style, and training techniques to help his athletes attain and surpass their performance and training goals. He believes in an integrative approach to athletic development that is founded on optimal health where all aspects of an individual’s lifestyle are either additive or disrupting to the long term goals and successes.

 

To date, Adam has worked closely with team, individual and disability sports having coached for Brooklands Hockey Club, England Cerebral Palsy football, England Women’s Rugby Union, Sandbach School Rugby Union, and competitive karate. Early in his career, whilst interning as a strength and conditioning coach, he supported and assisted the coaching of various team and individual sports including badminton, squash, swimming, wheelchair basketball, water polo, Disability cricket and Women’s Football.

 

Adam is currently DNA Sports Performance Coach to Brooklands Hockey, England NPC Hockey and England CP Footballers.
